Admission Criteria

Admission to the MBA program at GenevaTech Business School (GTBS) is designed for ambitious graduates and early- to mid-career professionals seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and expertise in business, technology, and innovation. GTBS follows a holistic admissions process that considers academic achievement, professional experience, leadership potential, and motivation to succeed in a globally competitive business environment.

Minimum Admission Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 16 years of education (minimum 180 ECTS or equivalent) from a recognized higher education institution in any discipline.
  • A minimum cumulative academic performance equivalent to:
    • CGPA 2.5/4.0, or
    • 60% or equivalent classification.
  • At least two years of professional work experience is recommended. Exceptional applicants with limited experience but outstanding academic achievement and leadership potential may also be considered.

English Language Proficiency

As the language of instruction is English, applicants whose previous education was not conducted in English must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following (or an equivalent qualification):

  • IELTS Academic: 6.5
  • TOEFL iBT: 80–90

Applicants who have completed a university degree taught entirely in English may be exempt from this requirement.

  • Two Professional or Academic References

  • Passport-size Photograph

Admissions Interview

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to participate in an online or in-person interview to assess:

  • Leadership potential
  • Professional achievements
  • Career objectives
  • Communication skills
  • Readiness for graduate-level study

An aptitude assessment may be required where deemed appropriate by the Admissions Committee.

Recognition of Prior Professional Learning (RPL)

GTBS recognizes that significant professional experience and executive learning can contribute to academic achievement. Applicants with substantial managerial experience, executive education, or recognized professional qualifications may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Professional Learning (RPL) in accordance with the GTBS Academic Regulations.
