Pathway to Executive MBA

o  All Certificate / Diploma holders in EdTech are eligible to avail these credit hours towards their degree programs at the GenevaTech.

o  Advance Diploma in EdTech leads to Executive MBA in EdTech at the GenevaTech, by way of adding a 6-month Applied Research Project or 200-hour online teaching practice at the portal of GenevaTech or their partner institution.

o  Post-graduate professionals can accumulate credit hours to seek admission in professional doctorate program in EdTech at the GenevaTech.

 Program Structure

GenevaTech Business School offers a wide range of certification in Education Technology. Each certification carries 5 ECTS in accordance with the EHEA (European Higher Education Area) standards. Advance Diploma in EdTech is an Applied Certification, leading to Executive MBA program.

Applied Research Project – Leading to Executive MBA

Field Work:  06 Weeks | 180 Hours (30 hours of applied research work per week)

Objective: Prepare participants to become leaders in their chosen EdTech domain — capable of driving digital transformation, shaping policy, mentoring others, and scaling impact in their organizations and communities.

Target Competencies: Strategic leadership, policy and advocacy, program design and evaluation, training and mentoring, and preparation for education sector leadership positions.

Module 11: Project Preparation — The Leadership Project

Module 12: Project Presentation

  • Live Presentation: Participants present their leadership projects to evaluators for approval of the applied research domain.
  • Expert Consultation: Consultation with a panel of experts for undertaking applied research.
  • Admission to Executive MBA: Register on the portal of GenevaTech Business School, Switzerland for admission to the hybrid / online program of Executive MBA.

Applied Research Project

Capstone Project based on applied research acquired during the process under the supervision of an EdTech professional. This reserch work is carried out through a structured process that begins with the identification of a relevant issue or opportunity within the EdTech landscape. Under the dedicated guidance of an EdTech professional, participants engage in applied research by reviewing current literature, gathering data from educational settings, and analyzing findings in the context of international frameworks and best practices.

Throughout the process, participants refine their research questions and methodologies based on peer feedback and expert consultation, ensuring that the project remains rigorous and aligned with established standards.

The research is documented systematically and culminates in a comprehensive project document and live presentation, where candidates defend their work before evaluators for final approval. This approach not only fosters critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills but also ensures that the outcomes are relevant, actionable, and contribute to ongoing professional development.

Alignment with International Standards

The program suite is designed to align with:

  • UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers (ICT CFT) — covering 18 competencies across six aspects of professional practice over three levels of development: Technology Literacy, Knowledge Deepening, and Knowledge Creation. The framework is intended to inform teacher-training policies and Programs to strengthen the use of ICT in Education.
  • UNESCO AI Competency Framework — focusing on a human-centered perspective, AI ethics, AI techniques and applications, and AI system design, guiding professionals in using AI effectively and ethically in education.
